LIVE

After 18 months streaming 24/7 from its first location, the World Organ has slightly shifted location and is now directly overlooking Lowlandman’s Bay on the Isle of Jura. It’s part sound installation, part environmental art. The audio you experience on the link below is coming straight from the World Organ’s vantage point looking and listening across a stretch of sea known as the Sound of Jura.
Take time to listen, and get immersed – probably best enjoyed on some good headphones.
N.B. In many ways, Jura has fragile links to the rest of the world. This includes our internet connection and sometimes this live stream needs to be refreshed. That creates a new link for the current stream. We always provide that from this page so, to be connected with Jura, always come here rather than returning to Youtube.

and here comes some gentle rain…..
Giles this is so haunting so exquisitely beautiful. I can’t wait for the world to be singing in harmony to the mournful sounds of the World Organ. Well done you mad brilliant genius.
Thanks Dominic. As the old bar room pianist might say ‘You hum it, and I’ll play along’
Giles! You magnificently bonkers human! I LOVE this.
It takes one to spot one Tamsin….
So there’s a new stream up and running folks. The really heavy weather we’ve had since the launch has subsided for a few hours, so this is a more tranquil soundscape. The stream from Jura is via a 4G mobile phone uplink, we have no fibre up here in the wilds of Lowlandmans Bay, and the signal has been dropping a bit in the weather conditions.
What we all need right now: ergonomic, free, intelligent, fugitive, public environmental art. Chapeau.
Thanks Ed!
